Rising stars of youth ice-hockey teams from Canada have visited Central Armed Forces Museum of the Russian Federation
Today within the cultural program for Moscow hockey players from Canada – participants of the World Cup on hockey among youth teams have visited Central Armed Forces Museum of the Russian Federation – one of the largest military and historical museums of Russia. The Ottawa Kepitalz team consisting of the Canadian youth leagues before start of the 8th World Cup in Sochi which will pass from August 18 to August 26 has arrived to Moscow with the cultural program to get acquainted closer with history and the culture of Russia and also to see her in modern look. In total to Russia there have arrived 22 hockey players aged from 15 up to 20 years and also coaching staff and personnel. In structure "Ottawa Kepitalz" in the majority representatives of CCHL (Central Canada Hockey League) which for many serves as "springboard" for transition to NHL. According to the Canadian hockey players, they were impressed by the museum, have much learned new about historic facts of World War II. Besides, the day before the team has visited Red Square. On August 16 the team takes off from Moscow to Sochi on the World Cup. Spravochno: Today in funds and expositions of the museum there are more than one million units of storage. These are battle and trophy flags of the period civil and World War II of wars, documents, painting objects, documentary photographs, weapon, awards, personal belongings of officers and soldiers.
