Moscow has risen by 16 points in the investment rating of GFCI
Two largest Russian cities win back positions in the next edition of the authoritative Index of global financial centers (GFCI 24) submitted by the leading commercial analytical center Z/Yen of London. In the report it is noted that GFCI is updated every March and September. To him shows considerable attention from world financial community. Investors quite often are guided by the index, making the decisions on investment of capital. For this edition 110 global financial centers have been investigated. As his authors note, GFCI 24 has been made with use of 137 tool factors among which there are quantitative measures which are represented by the third parties, including the World Bank, The Economist, OECD and the UN. New York has once again won first place in the index. On the second place there was London. Hong Kong lags behind London on only three points now and holds the third place. Beijing, Zurich and Frankfurt have moved to top ten the centers, having replaced Toronto and Boston. Despite some obvious progress in attraction of new business, Dublin, Munich, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Stockholm have fallen in rating that reflects opinions of respondents on their future investment climate. Moscow has considerably won back positions, this time having been 16 points higher, than in the previous version of GFCI. Now the Russian capital holds the 83rd place. The second large Russian investment center — St. Petersburg has also risen above, having appeared on the 80th line of the list.
