"With disintegration of the Soviet Union and change of forms of ownership of the enterprises and organizations of the railway, air and marine transport there was a number of difficulties which should be solved for providing logistics of transportations of troops — the chief of the General Staff has explained. — It has demanded decision-making at the regional and federal levels on use for the benefit of Armed Forces of the railroads, civil airfields and ports. Now these problems are solved". Valery Gerasimov has noted that today, commanders and headquarters in any military district and a type of military forces are capable to organize and carry out a regrouping on long distances and performance of tasks on the unfamiliar area. The solution of these tasks in 2013-2014 has allowed in September, 2015 in short terms to develop the Russian group of troops in the Syrian Arab Republic.
